Sophisticated surgical techniques and modern implants enable us to provide surgical treatment for increasingly complex diseases of the spine. Injuries to the spinal cord and neural structures during these procedures represent a risk and can have far-reaching consequences for the patient. Nowadays, surgical interventions on the spine with the corresponding risk potential are therefore hardly conceivable without IONM. This course introduces you to the monitoring of motor and somatosensory pathways. In the context of group work, you can exchange ideas with experts and colleagues and clarify your questions. Experience IONM at first hand - either during observation in the operating theatre or during the live video demonstration - and learn about the practical application of intraoperative neuromonitoring. In this course you will learn how direct stimulation of nerve roots can monitor neural functions during a procedure and reduce the risk of post-operative dysfunction. Flyer
