PELVIC INTRAOPERATIVE NEUROMONITORING

An important area of IONM is pelvic monitoring during operations in the pelvis minor to monitor the autonomous nerve structures. As well as sharing knowledge about pelvic neuroanatomy, this course will also discuss the principles of monitoring the autonomous pelvis minor nerves (bladder and sphincter function) and the anaesthesiological aspects of pIOM.

The equipment technology is another key element of the course: Experienced users share their knowledge about this operation technique that is gentle to nerves and that helps to prevent post-operative urogenital and anorectal malfunctions. You'll take part in observations or gain some practical experience on animal models under the guidance of experienced tutors.
